About Jullanar

Dr. Jullanar Maalik is an educational leadership consultant and speaker. Her career has been focused on strategic partnerships, adaptive leadership development, and change management, leveraging trauma-informed leadership thinking.

As a result of years in secondary education and non-profit executive leadership, she has seen firsthand the toll that justice-centered heart work can have on once-aspirational leaders. They are quietly suffering their own mental health crisis and the accompanying diminished affective decision-making and health. Combined with her experience and desire to help, she took to the stage with the goal of reaching as many people as possible to share the importance of leaders of justice-centered missions to include trauma-informed principles in their change management strategy.
